A Rose

I’m still working on my flower beds. This past weekend I went to the street market and they had super deals on flowers. If you have not flower shopped the Erie Street market on the weekend I highly suggest that as one of the spots you go to.

Here is one of my roses:

I’m really excited I haven’t killed everything off. I’ve only had a couple of plants get frosted but the majority are growing steadily. I enjoy gardening but don’t have the greatest of thumbs for it yet. A few years ago I had my husband help me clean up some weeds. I gave him Round up to spray on this brick work we had on our back porch where the grout has succumbed to weeds. He ended up spraying Round Up on every living thing surrounding our house! Men and their talents for actually reading labels! I was so devastated. This is the first year since I’ve been able to get at least part of the landscaping back and looking good in the front. Later in the year when it grows in I’ll have to take some shots to share. We still need to mulch and I have yet some seedlings to get growing.
