Field Trip

Written on May 28, 2008

This past week my son had a field trip to a local farm. I volunteered to help drive. I had the twins with me so I couldn’t photograph like I would have wanted to but I got enough for the good old scrapbook. The farm was Country Lane tree Farm. They had lots of critters to see. Their website is here: http://www.countrylanetreefarm.com/

Here are some of the animals we saw. (Due to the fact I do not have permission slips from parents I will not be showing any recognizable photos of children.)

This is one of the first guys that greeted us.

There were three of these big tom turkeys that kept flashing and showing off. They were quite tame.

All that showing off must have paid off as baby turkeys were born just a few short weeks ago and the kids were able to hold them.

In the same barn were also baby ducks. This one was getting warm under the heat lamp.

I was really fascinated by the roosters around as they were very unique in color. No two were alike.

They had a straw maze in a barn with a slide at the end. Here are children blazing through to get back in line to go down again.

They also had bunnies.

The children got to experience milking the cows. This lady was cow eyeing me as we waited for our turn.

Here are a pair of albino peacocks.

That’s it for the farm set. My wedding season is starting so keep watch for some new wedding shots in here.
